Being founded in 1992 under the name “Bayındır Sigorta”, our company was acquired by Mehmet Ali Aydınlar in 2004 and was named Acıbadem Sağlık ve Hayat Sigorta A.Ş..
In 2007, our company became a partner of the world's largest fund company, The Abraaj Group, being acquired by 50% stake as they continued the partnership until 2013.
Later in 2013, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, the strategic investment fund of the Malaysian Government, acquired 100% of our company shares.
In January 2019, international health insurance provider and health group Bupa, acquired all of the company shares and became the sole owner of all shares.
Due to October 2019 company name has changed to Bupa Acıbadem Sigorta A.Ş.
