David Fletcher

David Fletcher has more than 30 years of international experience in banking, insurance, risk management, and corporate governance. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions at Citibank and Standard Chartered Bank, serving as Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh, where he led the bank's transformation.

He later joined the Bupa Group in 2014 as Group Chief Risk Officer, where he was responsible for shaping and implementing the Group's global risk management and corporate governance strategies. In the second half of 2026, he was appointed Chair of the Board of Directors of Bupa Acıbadem Sigorta. He has also served as Vice Chairman of Bupa Arabia and Non-Executive Director of Niva Bupa Health Insurance since 2014. Since 2023, he has also been serving as Senior Independent Director of China Taiping Insurance UK Ltd. and Independent Non-Executive Director of Tawrid Company for Financing Solutions.

Fletcher graduated with an Upper Second Class Honours degree in Modern History from Durham University and continues to make significant contributions internationally through his expertise in risk management, audit, and corporate governance.
